About Us

Who We Are

We are church family that embraces the current, renewing work of the Holy Spirit while also holding to the ancient practices of historic Christianity. We aim to practice worship that engages both intellect and emotion, thinking that the head and heart are to be assimilated and not separated.

Mission

The Why

The reason we exist is to help people follow Jesus.

Vision

The What

We seek to create disciples who believe, embody, and bear the good news of Jesus in Augusta County and beyond.

Strategy

The How

We create these disciples through: (1) Corporate Worship, (2) Connection Groups, (3) Partnership, and (4) Discipleship Gatherings.

Our Core Values

We are a church that makes every effort to keep ourselves united in the Spirit, binding ourselves together with peace (Ephesians 4.3). We recognize that many things in church life can divide us, but we also recognize that through our cooperation with the Holy Spirit, we can create a community that reflects God's love for all people. This is not just for our sake but also for the sake of those outside the church. As we mature in this oneness, we give the world evidence of God's love for them (John 17.23).

We develop people, not programs. We pour into the lives of others to help empower them to serve their families, church, and community.

We embrace the miraculous gifts of the Spirit while also seeking how to live in the tension and mystery that comes along with them.

We seek deep transformation through spiritual formation. This includes the ancient and contemplative Christian practices of prayer, sabbath-keeping, silence, worship, service, and observance of the Lord's Supper.

We recognize the importance of bearing witness to Christ in our city by embracing a mission-focused mindset.

We actively look for ways to serve the needs of our church and community. Our first concern is to find a way to contribute, not considering what's in it for us.
