Ministries

Ministry is not something we do but rather who we are.  

The word ministry means to serve. As followers of Jesus, we seek to live like our Master, who was the "servant of all."  

The apostle Peter says, "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to minister to one another." Spiritual growth and fullness of joy will never be found apart from ministering to others.   

The role of church leaders is to train the congregation so they, individually and corporately, continue the ministry of Jesus. As this takes place, the Church becomes mature, healthy, growing, and full of love (Ephesians 4:11–16). Ministry is the practical expression of the inward work of God's love for us, in us, and through us.   

It is our hope and prayer that you will not only find a ministry that meets a need in your life but that you will also find a ministry in which you can meet a need in someone else's life.

UNITED Kids & Youth Ministries

The heart behind UNITED Kids & Youth is that all of our children's and youth ministry staff and partners work together toward a united vision: to help children and students follow Jesus. The reality, though, is that this is no easy task! We need the whole church involved and aligned for this to happen. So rather than separate children's and youth departments striving to accomplish this mission independently, we believe that we can accomplish more together and have thereby streamlined our ministry to this next generation.

Men's Ministry

One of the challenges men face in our culture is how to connect in meaningful ways that speak to the masculine soul. We offer opportunities at Church on the Hill for men to connect in ways that speak directly to their needs and innate interests, tendencies, and desires. Our passion and vision for men's ministry is found in the story of Gideon overcoming incredible odds through a group of 300 men that defeated an army of over 100,000. We are convinced God is looking for just such a group of men today who will boldly trust God to use them to see radical transformation in their own lives, their families, and their community. We are committed to this vision through a variety of opportunities and experiences throughout the year.

Women's Ministry

Our desire is that women of all ages and stages of life would join together in the journey of transformation. Transformation is accomplished as we build relationships, find our purpose, and grow to be more like Christ. The women of Church on the Hill will encourage you to be who God created you to be—uniquely you! God has gifted each of us in unique ways, and we desire to see women empowered to share their gifts and lives to impact the world for Christ.

Hospitality Ministry

This ministry provides the first impressions of our church. They are the greeters, ushers, and Welcome Center individuals who reach out to our guests and regular attendees alike each Sunday.

Special Disciples Ministry 

Special Disciples is a class of differently gifted individuals who have intellectual disabilities. We are uniquely designed for a special purpose in God's plan. We are not here by chance or mistake—God makes no mistakes! Although we may have physical and/or mental deficits, our spirits are whole. We can minister to the body and the community in ways that no others can.

Café Ministry

Each Sunday morning, from 9:45 to 10:15, our café is open to serve our guests and regular attendees breakfast foods and beverages—all for free! Stop by to partake and say thanks to this hard-working volunteer staff.
